Cryonics tycoon accuses ex-wife of stealing frozen bodies
The remains of wealthy people who paid huge sums of money to be cryogenically frozen in the hope of one day being resurrected by advanced medical technology have been stolen from a facility near Moscow, its owner has alleged.
Danila Medvedev, 41, said his ex-wife Valeria Udalova, 61, had seized the brains and cadavers during a raid on his KrioRus facility.
Udalova, who co-founded KrioRus, is alleged to have cut through a metal wall at the storage facility, drained nitrogen from fibreglass vats containing the remains, and loaded her macabre haul onto trucks. The vehicles were stopped by police on a nearby road after KrioRus staff raised the alarm.
